4 Ounces Of Cocaine, $2K Worth Of Pot, Loaded Rifle Seized From Berks Drug Dealer: DA

More than four ounces of cocaine, thousands of dollars worth of marijuana, and a loaded rifle were seized from a cocaine dealer in Berks County, authorities said.

The Berks County DA's Office got a tip in January that Bryan Torres, 34, was dealing cocaine out of his Reading home, they said.

A search warrant served at his home on Cotton Street turned up the following on Friday, March 25:
  • Approximately 120 grams (4.2 ounces) of suspected cocaine, valued at $12,000
  • An amount of marijuana packaged for sales valued at $2,000.
  • One loaded Anderson Manufacturing 5.56 caliber AR style rifle with two loaded magazines
  • A quantity of cash believed to be proceeds from the sales of cocaine and marijuana
  • Digital scales, packaging material, and drug paraphernalia related to processing cocaine and marijuana for street sales
  •  A supply of 9mm ammunition and holsters for handguns

Torres was charged with the following:

  • Possession With Intent to Deliver Cocaine/Marijuana
  • Possession of Cocaine/Marijuana
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Torres was taken to the Berks County Sheriff’s Department Central Processing Center where he is awaiting arraignment by the on-duty Magisterial District Judge.
